Founded in June 2016, Immigrants Development Alternatives (IDA) is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves immigrants, refugees, newcomers, and other underserved communities.
IDA understands that successful integration requires more than one service. Individuals and families need access to education, employment, financial literacy, entrepreneurship support, trusted community networks, and opportunities to participate in decisions that affect their lives.
Through direct services, skills development, resource connections, and community partnerships, IDA helps individuals overcome barriers, pursue economic opportunities, and build stable, independent lives.
Our Mission
IDA believes that where a person's journey begins should never determine how far they can go. We empower immigrants, refugees, and underserved communities through education, workforce development, entrepreneurship, financial empowerment, and access to essential resources, turning barriers into opportunities and helping individuals and families build lives of dignity, independence, and hope.
Our Vision
We envision communities where every immigrant and underserved individual has equitable access to opportunity, the resources to achieve economic independence, and the ability to reach their full potential.
Our Values
Dignity
We respect the experiences, identities, and aspirations of every person we serve.
Inclusion
We believe everyone deserves a meaningful opportunity to participate and succeed.
Empowerment
We focus on building skills, confidence, independence, and leadership.
Opportunity
We work to remove barriers and create pathways to economic and personal advancement.
Community
We believe lasting change happens when individuals, organizations, businesses, and communities work together.
Innovation
We seek practical and creative solutions to emerging challenges facing immigrant and underserved communities.
